Modern aircrafts are build of huge compound parts. These parts have long machining and storage times within the production. UV irradiance from fluorescent lamps and the sun causes degradations on the compound surfaces if a critical UV dose is exceeded. The degradation reduces the adhesion of paints. Expensive reworking gets necessary.

To avoid this, sglux developed a miniature UV datalogger called UVMINILOG. By using the UVMINILOG on each part, the UV dose is measured and logged. Two UV channels can be used for different spectral ranges. The device is setting an alarm if the exposure gets close to the critical dose.

On request, sglux offers attachable integrating spheres for the UVLOG. The spheres can be manufactured in different sizes depending on the application. An integration sphere reflects an injected beam diffusely on the inner surface and produces a homogeneous radion over the inner area. At one partial area the UV intensity measurement is done with the detector and the UVLOG calculates the total power of the UV laser.

sglux developed the module "UV Flashcon" for monitoring of pulsed UV lamps. These lamps are used where high UV radiation outputs are needed while generation of heat and the power consumption has to be low. UV flashlamps are mainly used in UV hardening of coatings, lacquers and resins. UV flashlamps are also used in UV disinfection and in the research of process kinetics and very fast processes.

The UV Flashcon has a 5V output level. The threshold is adjustable by the user. If the UV intensity falls below the threshold, the ouput voltage drops to 0V.
UV pulses with a pulse duration from 30ns on can be detected.
